How a remake can change my opinion on a game entirely, I love the trails series as a whole but Trails in the sky FC was originally the 2nd Weakest game of the series in my opinion, This remake changes things, an incredible remake with the new falcom engine and graphics, So much personality added to the main cast of characters with there new interactions as you play, Really great combat adjustments and gameplay experience

The story is massively improved compared to the original with all the additional cutscenes given to important moments that didn't receive much during the original; so much so that i was in absolute awe and how incredible some of these scenes turned out to be with the proper cutscenes

The soundtrack is great, all of the rearranged tracks from the original are just as good, if not some IMO are better than the original or evo versions

The gameplay, well here's where the real thing about the game comes out, i played my 1st run on nightmare knowing full well that FC's nightmare is considered absoluely brutal on a 1st playthrough run, with this remake and the addition of both Action combat aswell as the movement from the kuro saga games the difficulty was dropped exponentially, not that it was a easy nightmare one bit, it's still harder than any nightmare post ColdSteel but you have alot more to play with now, the only downside is some enemies end up being meat shields with nothing but a billion HP

An Absolutely incredible remake and well deserving of a high rating, Hoping SC/3rd get this same treatment and love because this really saved this games rating for me, Sky FC is my 13/14th favourite in the Series, This remake is 4/14th that's how incredible of a improvement this game got. The original felt like a big slow burn of a game with mostly worldbuilding/series developing however this remake really feels like you're playing a game about the bracers of zemuria whilst also being introduced to alot of the series lore on the side

Great jrpg entry into a massive storyline spanning 13 titles at the time of this remakes release.
Almost a 1:1 copy of the original game but in a modern 3d trails engine with remastered and arranged music.
There's a few new quests and some QoL, like fast travel and clear quest map markers.

absolute peak. Remake made an already great game even greater. The combat system is amazing. The remastered soundtrack is phenomenal. The art style is beautiful and the story and characters are interesting and likeable as always.
